The Cambridge Examinations (CE)

Approximately 60 New Zealand secondary schools offer the Cambridge International Examinations. Students can attain qualifications at three levels: in year 11 the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), in year 12 the International Advanced Subsidiary (AS), in year 13 the International Advanced Level (A Level). The Cambridge exams use a range of assessment methods with the emphasis on external examinations. Course work and internal assessment are also part of many subjects.
